Less than 24 hours to go now. This blog has had nearly 500 views over the last 2 days, so it is apparent there are many out there who are interested in following our trip. This is really encouraging, and I will try to be diligent with regular updates. I just remember how tired I was at the end of the day last Camino. Please bear with me. One thing I do not have to do is email Heather each night, because she will be right here with me. Wooho.
So, our good friend Norm will be by here around 5 am tomorrow to take us to the airport. We already have our boarding passes, so we just have to check our one bag. We will carry on our backpacks that now contain all the essentials we cannot afford to lose. We’ll re-arrange everything once we get to Leon so that we are lean and mean and ready for the road. I have arranged with JacoTrans to carry the bag from place to place. This was done to take some of the stress off Heather’s hip.
So, all systems are primed and ready. The only unknown at this point is the transfer from Madrid Airport to Chamartin train station, but we’ll figure that when we get there.
Nos vemos, amigos!
